XS New Media was the limited liability creative studio set-up originally in 1998 but effectively stopped trading on May 31st 2002. Here's the official press release from that time:

"Due to circumstances beyond its control XS New Media Limited effectively ceased trading on May 31st 2002. The studio had traded successfully for the first 18 months of business but ran into insurmountable problems, together with the majority of the new media service sector, at the beginning of 2000 and never really recovered.

I resigned from the company on May 31st 2002 and recommended to the remaining shareholders that the company be formally dissolved as soon as possible. As far as I know, the company has not yet applied for voluntary dissolution and the matter rests with the existing shareholders.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank wholeheartedly all the great clients that XS New Media were able to work for in that period and, of course, the great team put together and the fun we had in the early days. I would especially like to thank Asa Andersson, Richard Das and Jerry Stockley-Young, not to mention Graham Hiom for all the great and hard work they put into the company while we trying to move the world.

The latest Quantos has heard is that the company had filed for voluntary liquidation in October 2002 and by now the company no longer exists.
