Quantos partner Rob Iles has been building and running database-driven websites since early 1995.

Robert's original degree was in Computer And Communications Engineering and since then he has programmed at every level from soldering iron to expert systems. In the 1970's he was microcoding bit-slice processors for embedded systems, designing high-speed systems and producing disk operating systems.

From there Rob moved to software engineering covering tools, visualisation systems, database design, knowledge-based and expert systems, graphics and compilers. System management and web development followed working with large national and international clients whilst Programme Manager at Domino Systems Ltd.

Rob has been our main database programmer and developer partner for over five years and is responsible for just about all the database and non-Flash based application development work produced by Quantos over that timescale.

Clients are increasingly integrating and developing in-house systems that talk to and work with the online counterparts and vice versa. Rob's experience on running large and small projects either side of the online divide is often invaluable. We have and often do still build everything from small databases running stores and catalogs to large, bespoke online stores, order tracking and management systems with online management consols to match.
