fees

Over the years The Quantos Consultancy has developed the following fee guidelines:

hourly fees
Fees are always agreed in advance with clients and are usually tied to key milestones and stages of project development with either stage payments in advance or, for smaller assigments (less than £10,000 total), either payment in advance or split 50/50 on advance and within 7 days of completion.

Most projects are mapped and micro-managed using Microsoft Project and are usually based on time and materials to the following scales although we are retained by the majority of our clients for longer term development or on an outsourced basis at preferential rates - depending on the amount of support, development or consultancy required.

normal turnaround:
The concept of normal turnaround is related to the amount of work (man-hours) estimated for the work and the amount of time available. As a rule of thumb we consider 'normal turnaround' for 2-3 days work, for example, to be 4-6 working days (ie roughly double). Scale fees for normal turnaround are between £50 and £70 per hour - depending on the kind of input, skills and experience required.

short notice and fast turnaround (or to begin within 24hrs):
Work required inside (faster than) normal turnaround is always available. We don't like to say no to any fast turnaround scenarios and pride ourselves on speed of execution alongside quality when required. Work required inside normal turnaround is charged, subject to prior confirmation, at 1.5 x normal rates (as above).

late evenings, weekends and bank holidays:
As above, we never want to say 'no we can't do it' so we instead we prefer to say 'yes we can always work late evenings, weekends within 24 hrs' etc. Late evening and 'anti-social' work is always available, subject to prior confirmation, and at 2 x normal rates.

long term retainers, outsourcing and technical support
The Quantos Consultancy is a creative, flexible and cost-effective alternative to dedicated agencies and many in-house departments for a wide spread of business, marketing and application development and support scenarios. For these scenarios we usually agree a simple monthly or quarterly retainer payable in advance and all work is logged and recorded using proprietary online tools available on the Quantos website. Support calls are usually charged on an incident by incident basis and any repair or updating work completed within 4 hours of instruction. Repairs or development work required that can not be turnaround within 4 hours will be scheduled in for the next available working day.

minimum charge
The Quantos Consultancy charges a nominal minimal charge of £200 for any one-off assistance required for any kind of work or support work. The minimum charge is waivered where a longer term contract or retainer is in place and up to date.
